UVA undergraduate students are encouraged to consider internships and/or thesis research. For more information see these guidelines. You can also learn about the Environmental Sciences major and other opportunities for growth beyond the classroom.

Prospective graduate students: I will consider applications for the Ph.D. track (only) in the upcoming admissions cycle. Strong applications can take different forms, but most combine a strong GPA (>3.5) including challenging math and science coursework, significant exposure to geoscience research, and a thoughtfully crafted statement of purpose. I am not currently recruiting M.S. students, but you may find opportunities with other faculty in our department.

Prospective postdoctoral researchers: I am excited to work with researchers who have a strong career vision and a record of peer-reviewed publications in geomorphology, planetary science, or a closely related field.
